Experience: Gymnastics has taught me many important life lessons and I would not be the same person I am today without this sport. It has helped me both academically and professionally, as I learned determination, how to persevere, and owe my work ethic to gymnastics.

I began gymnastics at the Little Gym in Seattle as a young child. In elementary school, my twin sister and I joined the team at Northwest Aerials in Kirkland. I competed in J.O. until eighth grade making up to Level 6 and was coached by Becky Black who now coaches at Alpha.

My senior year of high school, I was able to do one season of high school gymnastics at Lake Washington. I also began competing in track and field which led me to Pole Vault in college at Linfield University.

I love gymnastics and am grateful for the opportunity to continue in the sport as an adult at Alpha Gymnastics.

Favorite Skill or Event: Floor - I love that grace and power, typically opposite strengths are needed for this event.

Favorite Activities: Photography and spending time with my cats.

Favorite Food: Sukiyaki, and anything chocolate!

Advice for students: Stay focused and work hard, but don't forget to have some fun along the way.
