Luke Matthews

Experience:  Starting with 2 years of experience interning at a parkour gym, then eventually growing to become a coach with 4 years of current experience. Along with this, I have been training in the art of parkour or free-running since 2013 which puts me with just over a decade of training in the art of motion both in gyms and out in the wild.

Favorite Activity: Hiking and Skateboarding

Favorite Skill or Event: Sticking to the roots of free-running, my favorite skill to train is vaulting. Being able to smoothly and efficiently transfer your body through space is a fascinating and exciting ability to learn. My favorite vault in particular would be a kong-frontflip! 

Favorite Food: Supreme Topping Pizza

Advice for Students: It's important to remember that the progression you display during class, even if it seems small or obsolete; demonstrates vast learning. It's imperative to enjoy the process as everything will come with enough practice.
