Experience:
I started gymnastics at age 6, and my career now spans over 40 years, including 18 as a professional athlete. In 1996, I was selected for the Chinese National Team and won a national championship on the pommel horse. After earning my bachelor’s degree in athletics in 2000, I retired from competing and began coaching. From 2002 to 2015, I coached in China and Singapore, training gymnasts who won national and continental titles and contributed to Singapore’s first Olympic qualification in gymnastics. From 2016 to 2022, I coached the women’s senior team at Legacy Elite Gymnastics in Illinois, where the Level 9 and 10 teams won 5 consecutive state titles. Two of the athletes I trained were selected for the U.S. National Team and won multiple international gold medals, while over 20 others received full scholarships to top universities, including Stanford and Berkeley. In 2022, I joined Alpha Gymnastics, where I continue to develop athletes and help them reach their full potential.
